Just Imagine how she would've reacted if they had the loud screaming V8s and V10s engines. They were so loud you can hear them from miles away.
Far superior performing cars and much better drivers in those days. Alonso, Max and Hamilton excepted.

The broadcast for every race never truly shows how fast these cars actually are. It sucks, but this is the best way to see how truly awesome and fast these cars are
Too bad F1 are the slow cars now. IIRC, Nascar is like 40 mph faster.
@spaceboy3101 they pull 220+ on some tracks. Brake in 1/10th the distance too
I remember watching Indy yeara ago, they had a pit camera looking at a car getting gas and tires....4 cars went by in the background - they were all a blur.
Went to Dover and Richmond and stood next to the fence, you are correct TV makes it all look fun when in fact they are lethal.
@@spaceboy3101what? No they're not. F1 reach close to 360 kmh easy (that's 220 mph) on the longer straights, and they manage to keep a lot of that speed in the turns because of all the downforce. They pull up to 5g when braking or turning. Nascar cars are fast, but they don't hold a candle to F1
@@spaceboy3101 They're not having drag races. These F1 cars are as fast as they've ever been. It's all about cornering speed, braking power and acceleration.

I saw these cars and heard them on the front straightaway at Indianapolis motor speedway. The sound is amazing, the Honda V-10 sounded like it was going to detonate at an instant. 20,000 rpm V-10 absolutely unbelievable music.

Main straight of Monaco between the royal box and pit lane behind her and one of the loudest and fastest point of the track areas , which probably shocked her
but modern F1 cars are not very loud now. give me V8 V10 or V12 then Nina would go "OH MY GOD" but you wouldn't hear her ;-)

We need more static camera shots every now and then in the coverage.
Nina should have witness F2004 or FW26 in Spa or Monza in the fastest parts of those circuits, be it the 190 mile an hour corners of Blanchimont or Monza straights or Curva Grande. Or maybe the 340 kilometre an hour arrival to the 80km an hour chicane in Canada, threading it past the wall of champions by Montoya. F1 was great once.

The TV broadcast just can't do it justice. The speed is mind numbing.
Think about it some handheld powertools like angle grinders or drills used for cutting or drilling hard objects can only operate at 4 digit RPMs max while f1 cars can effortlessly run 15,000 revs per minute in the drivetrain and lasts a solid amount of time in track
